Just a quick question myself and my father want to trade in our cars for newer models

He drives an automatic and is currently on disability but because the Irish government have stopped helping people with a disability in purchasing a car

He has to drive the same banger which is beginning to let him down. Also no garage would finance him either cos they're concerned he won't be able to afford paying it back which is bull cos he would manage better than most people including me haha

I'm just wondering if I can go into a garage and trade in his car and also mine (because my own car is a 1.6 focus which is giving me trouble), my advice stick with petrol kids

Would I be able to finance both cars at the same time?
    Thanks for your time
Please don't troll because it's a issue I'd like to resolve

Very surprised because there is a package available for car purchase for those with a disability. Tax exempt I think.

You can finance deals seperatley with one car each for the car if your choice.

The government continue to offer VRT and VAT exemption on both new and used cars for those who qualify

Finance approval would be down to the banks, who to be fair would approve your dad if he met the lending criteria

Yes you would, as long as the banks reckoned you could afford to, ie you meet their criteria.

Now, supposing your dad doesn’t qualify for a Primary Medical Certificate and you don’t want to overstretch yourself financially, there are lots of good reliable automatic cars out there for a few grand. Maybe your dad could get a credit union loan for €4K? 3 year loan with a credit union would be €29 a week.
