    https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057977520

Hopefully by this day next week i will now be driving a ford focus 2010 and from i can see it has no USB radio function and would rather not go down the AUX or bluetooth to FM transmitter

Would something like this video be doable yourself? Or would i be better going to a car sound place and get them to put in a new radio etc?

In my current car i have a radio and a HORRIBLE grey surround and holder thing as took out a original radio and there was a gap that needed to be filled, halfords fitted it ( free isn't always good)

Thanks for any and all help

How do you listen to music? If youre using the likes of Spotify, that USB is no good.

USB flash drives most of the time, after that I have a Xiaomi ROIDMI Car Bluetooth Charger Adapter if I wanted cloud/spotify etc

    ROIDMI

Dodgy branding aside, what you have there is one way of doing it. you could also look at keeping your headunit and plugging an adaptor into the cd changer port.

    What’s the budget?

You could also look at putting your stuff onto a big SD card and play it off your phone (if it’s android) using the Xiaomi. This would make navigating the files a lot easier than using the headunit

Im guessing a double din radio to fill the gap would make most sense?

Do I try and get one and adapters etc (if needed) or see how much someone or somewhere will supply and fit one?

You can actually get an aftermarket touchscreen job that’s specifically designed for the focus.

Have you a link to a site or shop please

Sorry didn't see the reply, very true on just using it until the right solution comes up

I'm not sure if you can do that with a cd changer port as haven't seen the car or spec sheet, would be handy and much cheaper and of course do myself so no labour cost

Not sure on budget, hoping to ask here and few places to get a ruff idea and then see how much I can get off car to cover it or some of it

I prefer the flash drives as listen to a lot of DJ mixes, so handy to start car and back playing where I left off. Also
