Trying to clean my headliner as it's all stained possibly from cigarette smoke. What's the best way of cleaning it without it sagging down or staining it more?

I cleaned a car headliner that was flithy with smoke by using a nial brush and soapy water. In the end I had to remove all the seats to get the stink out.

Be careful of steam on headlining. The combination of moisture and heat can cause the adhesive holding the lining to fail and you can get sagging of the liner.

Spray some suitably diluted cleaning agent on a microfibre cloth and gently massage the affected area, turning cloth to dry side after and wiping.
