Kerry County Council are to compile a report into whether these roads should be reclassified into national secondaries which will be submitted to the Minister for Transport

Part of the road between Ballybunion and Tralee are shocking, a few miles outside of Abbeydorney where it's so boggy it's not even possible to do 80. Mind you, I would like to see the road re-classified or else the speed limit increased to 100, most of the road is pretty good for a regional road, same story with Ballybunion to Listowel.

what is the basis for making a road a "national route"? Ballybunion is hardly a major metropolis, or a strategic location like a port.
