Hi guys iv just moved to a secondhand house and there is a water softener in the shed. I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about it. Make, model, does it need to be serviced...where can I get a booklet to down load.

Very similar to the one I have. Some basic instructions attached. Setting the correct time is important because if it rinses during daytime, you can end up with a tank full of salt water. Don't ask how I know this.

It looks similiar to one I have. Autotrol 255 valve with a 440 timer. There are manuals on line if you Google it. If your only after buying the house I'd get it serviced. The resin should be changed if its in place 10 years or more. A bag of salt lasts us about 3 weeks
Set the time in line with real time means it will regenerate at 2 am which is the norm. Regeneration frequency will depend on your raw water hardness and quantity of water you use.
