I was wondering do I need to signal before reversing around the corner in the test? I have never done so with my I instructor so I am unsure if I am supposed to?

The reverse light is the signal. No other signal is necessary.

You only need to signal when pulling up on the left, once your parked up you can cancel the signal and then proceed with the reverse around the corner.
