I'm off to toulouse for the weekend and actually not sure i can survive the game.

Maybe this will be a historic win for us... but I think we're about to go down hard

22 point underdogs, wouldn’t worry too much about the result and just enjoy the experience. Rob Lyttle back with the squad apparently

Dunno what shape he's in, but delighted to have Lyttle back in training. I think this Sunday is strictly going to be in "give it a lash" territory. Before the break, we lost away to Cardiff. And that was before we had to rummage in the back of the wardrobe for wingers.

I would happily send a weakened team to France this weekend, the game is a nothing game for us.

    Focus on Bordeaux.

'Give it a lash' certainly should be the approach to this game. Even if Toulouse score a hatful of points Ulster could possibly get a 4 try LBP. Give it a go and you might as well 'be hung for a sheep as a lamb' as the saying goes.

    Cooney to Brive?

    Can't really blame him.

    15. Stewart Moore (72)

    14. Werner Kok (7)

    13. Ben Carson (6)

    12. Stuart McCloskey (193)

    11. Michael Lowry (110)

    10. Aidan Morgan (7)

    9. Nathan Doak (74)

    1. Andrew Warwick (201)

    2. James McCormick (7)

    3. Scott Wilson (19)

    4. Alan O’Connor (C) (201)

    5. Harry Sheridan (32)

    6. Matty Rea (102)

    7. Marcus Rea (51)

    8. James McNabney (7)

    Replacements:

    16. Rob Herring (241)

    17. Eric O’Sullivan (121)

    18. Tom O’Toole (112)

    19. Iain Henderson (157)

    20. Cormac Izuchukwu (32)

    21. Dave Shanahan (94)

    22. Jude Postlethwaite (17)

    23. Nick Timoney (152)

With herring, OToole, Henderson, Izuchukwu and Timoney all on the bench I suspect this is a team selected to just get the match over with and focus on Bordeaux.

yea but this game is a nothing game for us, we are never winning it with the injuries we have. May as well let the young ones have a run out.

Yep. My first thought was we aren't even trying, which obviously isn't the case, but the stupid format allows for this. Win our two home games and we probably qualify.

    Strong bench.

James Humphreys unlucky to miss out.

What's the craic with Baloucoune, still injured?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 69 ✭✭big-al

ulster could be 30 points down by halftime here, only positives would be that the internationals could play the interpros after Europe.

Anyone know if the UAFC will return? Didn’t realise it was going offline or whatever has happened.

Opposition withstanding ofcourse but has there ever been a side to just give up and roll over as quickly as Ulster as soon as they face any sort of adversity?

    Mod Edit: Warning.

Rough 20 mins for Ulster. Toulouse marching through them far too easily

this is a training run for Toulouse…

Toulouse have been hyper aggressive at the rucks, Willis is a quality player. Really making life hard for Doak

Bit of a **** break there for the last try. Clearly off the head, should've restarted with a free kick to Ulster.

    Dupont has been unplayable today.

    Ulster are **** **** today

Actually feel for the Toulouse fans! only getting to see half a match with Toulouse camped in Ulsters half all game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,912 ✭✭✭Utah_Saint

Really struggle to see any improvement Murphy has made to Ulster.

Seems like a nice guy and is good in front of the camera but we are probably worse than we were 2 years ago

I think the weaker selection made sense and this was an unwinnable game. Still feel like there is a lack of quality in pack but there is quality on the younger side.

Fitness and strength should be the minimum requirement for a professional rugby player.
