My Dad who is currently working full time is retiring at the end of May. My Mum is on a reduced pension. It was reviewed a few years ago and increased as a result of the review due tot he homemaker credits she was owed. She was wondering when my Dad retires would she be due an increase? Or would there be no difference and her pension would stay the same irrespective of his retirement?

If your mam is over 66 and has no other income then her reduced pension and that reduced pension is less than €222.50 per week then she is better off if she switches from being on her own pension to being his dependent adult.
Your dad would have to apply for her to be considered that as per his pension application form.

Thanks. Ho much extra would she get as a dependent and could it be arrange with DSP that the dependent amount is payed to her bank account only or that she can collect the dependency payment separately rather then it all going to my Dad?

How much pension is she getting now?
    €222.50 is the max dependent.
Yes she can have the dependent paid to herself in either PO or bank.
