Just saw the ad regarding the referendum coming up and didn't realise there was a question regarding foreign divorces and I'm confused a bit. Long story short I lived in Australia with my Irish partner/ wife. We came home and got married here and went back to Aus. We split up over there and all divorce proceedings were done over there so is that divorce recognised here?

Yes. It's only if you lived over here and divorced over there it wouldn't be recognised. Happened a friend. Had to go through divorce all over again here.
