LED trailer lighting boards to 2013 Toyota?

I’ve got a basic single axle trailer. The (filament bulb) lights have never been great on it and lately they’ve got bashed up.
I was going to buy an LED Trailer Lighting Board on Amazon but the seller stated:
“As a responsible seller we have to advise that this item or any other LED lighting system is not compatible with most modern cars / vans / pickups with factory fitted tow bar electrics. (modern as a guide is considered from 2005 onwards).”
I’m driving a 2013 Toyota Hilux.
Does anyone know if a six year old Toyota would be compatible with LED lighting boards?
I’ve done some perusing here and RockFit lighting has been recommended. However, at €200 it’s at least five times the Amazon price.
The F&F thread has farmers’ various recommendations, but there is a fair bit of rewiring and soldering going on.

I just want to plug it in, turn on my lights, and be legal. Simples.

Any Toyota drivers have advice. I’m thinking I should stick with traditional filament bulb lighting?

You don’t have factory fitted towbar electrics.

It'll work fine.

But just head into a hardware or hire shop and buy them.

Go into car park and make sure.

They're not big money. 40 quid or so.

I've a couple sets. Work grand on every car, newd or old.

Those disclaimers refer to modern canbus systems that incorporate trailer wiring. E.g Land Rover had this in the Discovery 4 I think. It would automatically detect if a trailer was plugged in, and give indicator and bulb warnings.

The Hilux doesn't have this, they'll be fine.
