    Is it reasonable to expect a garage to email you a breakdown of cost of parts, labour etc?

    I had issues and was recommended a new garage, modern, big, plenty of staff

    When I was told what was wrong he wouldn't give me prices, keep saying oh might need this and don't need it all done now etc

    All I want is worse case for each job and if lower then its a bonus

    Yes. An estimate is not an unreasonable ask.
