This is not for me its for a family member.

There budget 30 thousand and they do a lot of city driving and mileage of 35 thousand miles a year.

She is thinking of a Hyundai Kona as she really likes it but is open to suggestions.

    Peace and long life.

What’s the story with the 508, is it being traded in?

Tell them to have a look at the new 508. Absolutely gorgeous car. Inside and out.

Agree 100%. Was looking at the 8 speed diesel auto gt line today. An absolute stunner.

    I think so.

I said that to them and agree it is a gorgeous car. They have had a look at it but its not practical enough for them and too big even do its smaller than the one she has now which I said to her. The same as the current car which is a fine car just no where to put sun classes or any other things inside.
They said they want an SUV like the Kona because they think it will be easier to drive around the city.

Would you get one of them brand new for that price? I thought they would start around 40k.

Would they be economical for that kind of mileage do?

    I will suggest them do.

If most of that mileage is city driving then they would be more economical than a diesel doing city driving. Look at the amount of Prius being used as taxis now.

Budget of €30k plus 508 should be more than enough.

Nobody’s really buying the Lexus IS new now.

OP, you’re saying they do 35000 miles or over 55kkm per year. Or 1kkm a week. Surely this can’t be mostly city driving?

Lexus have a new hybrid small crossover called the UX just launched. Prices are supposed to start at around 40k and it's the replacement for the CT200h.

Ye have seen that. Very nice. They do seem to start at that price according to the website anyway. Will suggest it to them.
