Does anyone know how to remove the plastic back from the wing mirror of a Citroen Xsara?

I'm not sure if the glass needs to be removed or if it can just be prised off.

    Thanks.

Why do you need to open it?
If it's broken then it pretty easy to replace the whole unit.

The glass and plastic should be one part. Don’t be afraid of it.

This is what the back of it looks like
