Cannabis Cookies - Legal?

Hi all,

Not sure where to post this so apologies if this is not the right place. Mods: Please move as appropriate.

So my 17 year old son was given a present of "Cannabis Cookies" as a bit of a joke by a friend of his who'd been away on holiday.

My son insists they totally legal (but horrible tasting) whereas I'm a bit freaked out by them. My son says the cookies contain CBD not THC thus making them harmless and that products with CBD are legally available here.

Can anyone confirm what these are and whether they are actually legal or illegal?

As long as the THC content is below a certain threshold they are fine

I'd keep your son away from cannabis, and stoner 'culture' in general. There's a very strong correlation between smoking 'satan's lettuce' and being: pasty and sickly looking, dead-eyed, greasy haired, using a wallet chain, working in retail or desktop IT support, spending your life playing computer games.

CBD can be very helpful for people with anxiety conditions, and there is some evidence that it's good for pain relief. It won't do anything for you if you're feeling perfectly fine though

Do they say if they also have THC and if so, how much?
