Can anyone answer for me.. I'm currently on jobseekers allowance for the self employed as business is trading at a loss / minimal profit ... payment approved after means tested but the thing is am now currently pregnant and I know you don't have to sign on the 4 weeks before or 8weeks after due date but when do you have to inform them of pregnancy..still Waiting for my scan to confirm all is well ( or at least as best they can confirm from a scan) but wondering is here a cut off time .. I know with maternity benefit it's something like 26wks for the self employed so wondering is there a cut off for jobseekers.
Maternity benefit is not an option yes I have the stamps to qualify but I can't abandon my business for the time id be on leave. I need to be able to attend work intermittently and That is not an option on maternity benefit
Thank you in advance for any assistance
