Anyone notice this? If you think of (at least in the US) the big conspiracy theorists as well as the people who believe in them, a large part are religious people.

Reason usually offered is that 1.) religious people use critical thinking less than atheists and 2.) many religions involve a post-apolcalyptic event of Jesus/Muhammad etc.. and these guys think these conspirators are signs of the end of times.

    David Icke the exception though.

In fairness, if you believe that god exists, you'd believe anything...

In fairness, if you believe that god exists, you'd believe anything...

Even Stephen Hawking and his peers have often cited, when you take the big bang theory to its logical conclusion, who or what enacted that instant of infinite energy and density, a theorised singularity where the agreed laws of physics cease to exist, or never existed.

I have no strong faith myself as I'm a big fan of evidence over faith, but the limitations of human fostered science does make you think....

A bit random to say all conspiracy theorists are religious. I would have thought conspiracy theorists were stoners, who distrust the C.I.A., F.B.I. and all other government agencies. Why would religious people think for example 9/11 was orchestrated by the u.s. government?

I’d have thought the opposite. Conspiracy theorists tend to believe in extra terrestrial life forms. “Religious nuts” don’t.

Exactly Jim Corr is a good example of such a person.
