Car trouble

    I recently bought a 2011 Opel astra Estate. Had a problem with dpf and garage did a manual regen. On way home front passenger brake seized up but after 45mins it freed up again. Been working fine since. Last week after another dpf regen this time on a computer the driver side front seized. Again it freed itself after an hour. What could be causing this? Is it a coincidence that this happened after regen?

    The two are completely unrelated. Best to get the brake caliper sorted asap. It shouldn't be overly expensive, but the more you drive the more you risk further damage.

    Thanks for feedback. I got the caliper checked when it happened first and garage said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Then it happened the opposite side last week. If it was a caliper problem would it not just be the one side? Could it be a line problem?

    Ah sorry, I misread your post first time around. I thought the same side had the problem twice. That does seem quite unusual. How did you know it was ceased?

    I could feel it when I took foot off accelerater. It was like someone applied brake. I pulled in and jacked up wheel and it was completely stuck. It freed itself after roughly an hour. Both times it happened its been after driving for a few hours.
