Hi. Curious if anyone has had success amending the deferred period on an income protection policy? I have a long standing policy but have recently changed to public service so have a few months sick pay now. I'm having no luck changing policy so far.
I'm somewhat conflicted - while I understand that policy amendments are at the discretion of insurer (if not specified in T&Cs....which this isnt), I think it's totally unfair in this case as they still won't pay out until after my HSE sick pay. So I'm paying for a level of cover they will never provide.
Any thoughts from the more knowledgeable than me?
