I'd appreciate an honest review of said garage, thinking of purchasing a motor there not looking to hang a guy I don't know but I'd take a p.m./ or a post here off anyone who purchased from him, just don't want to throw away hard earned money, current motor is heavy on petrol, and need to go back to a hybrid- thank you in advance.

Bought a Laguna off him before for a couple of grand. New NCT but needed a few hundred put into it to pass a year later. Discovered not long after purchase that it used to be a taxi but I wasn't bothered as it was running grand. Kept the car about 3 years before changing and no problems other than that. Seems to sell a good few motors as you'll often see his sticker on the back of cars around nth Dublin.

I buy plenty from Gill and have sent family members to buy from him too. He is well established where he is and is not in the business of selling rubbish, because as any genuine trader knows, they only end up back on your doorstep screaming and shouting.

Go and look at the car, drive, have it looked at by a mechanic, look at it again yourself, make sure you’re happy with everything, make sure you’re happy with whatever warranty is offered, and buy it if it suits you.

Feel free to pm me details of the car you’re interested in and I can have a look when I’m up there next (probably Monday)

Always found them really good to deal with.
Sent a few people his way and none of them ever had any issues with car purchases.

I'd be a lot more cagey than that. Definitely get independent check

I've bought all 3 of my cars that i've had off him, never had an issue with any of them and found him a really nice guy to deal with, even managed to haggle a few hundred off the last car with him too.

Anyone any experience dealing with n4 motors? mixed Google reviews mostly good but when it's bad it's really bad reviews and I don't know what to think. Also any tips of dealers to avoid

I bought a car from Declan Gill a few years ago on a 'sold as seen' basis, a day or two later it turned out to have a crack in the fuel filler pipe which would cause it to leak fuel when filled to the brim.

I brought it back to them and they sorted it our without any fuss or drama, said they had obviously never filled it to the brim so were unaware of it (which makes perfect sense).

They were perfectly pleasant to deal with and repaired the fault at their expense.
