    Hi all

Thinking of buying 100 Charolais Calves in July. Will get agent next door to buy calves.

Aim to rear them and sell this time next year as bull weanlings.

Cost estimates €275 to €325 per calf.

What would they sell for if fed in Slatted Shed from July to April

Are you serious? You'd hardly get an auld white head for that price.

True, I picked up 5 Char calves on Done deal and cost €320.

I know mart is costly but slow and steady they can be got.

Check out calf agents. Some Chars are out of fresian cows but still Chars

    Market is key.
They would sell poorly as weanlings round these parts.

    I was thinking.
I always had bad luck with Any chx sucks we bought. I’m not conceived they go well with bucket rearing, not for us anyway. Always sulking for one reason or another.

Them calves are often conveniently sold a few minutes before you got there, but your welcome to have a look at these other calves.
