5 day declarations were today. Interesting that vintage clouds is in there after his early fall last Saturday.

Posting because I see The Young Master is declared after missing out on Aintree by 1 place. 16/1, fill your boots before it's too late.

Vintage Clouds an interesting one - never got going in the GN so should still be fresh. Fancied him for the GN so will back here if he goes. Also liking the looks of Carole's Destrier at 20s.

Young Master not declared. I wonder what the reasoning is, this race looked perfect for him! Don't think he'll fair as well in the bet 365 chase. Beware the bear looks good even at top weight

Big River, Mrs Scudamore actually liked my comment ‘tipping’ him so he must be an absolute certainty...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,107 ✭✭✭HarshOstrich

All over Geronimo in this, i have followed him closely since going chasing and he has looked a work in progress while still running excellent races,he has no weight on his back and further they go the better for him.
I also got a tip for a horse at Bangor tomorrow, will post tomorrow after I get my bet on, last tip I got from this source was emitom in an ascot bumper.

Crosshue Boy for me. This has been the aim since it won here at Ayr last year. No better man than Sean Flanagan on board to

    Touted by Timeform for this

Is Beware The Bear an E.W. steal in this one? I find it hard to get past his consistency this term.

He ran no race in this last year ,but since then he has had a wind op and blinkers fitted. I don't think he has lasted 4 miles before....and that may be what has him priced as high as tens.

Given the changing circumstances /form since last year, I'm struggling to get past him as the best/most solid bet available in the race.

    Edit: 12's available with some.

Verdana Blue looks a huge price in the Scotish Champion Hurdle, gets her good ground and claimer helping with the weight.

Quick question if anyone can answer, with the top weight out of the SGN, do all the other horses now have to carry an extra 8lbs?

ie. Sizing Codelco was to carry 11 4 . Does he now carry 11 12 and etc etc all the way down the card?

Based on its last race, Rich Cummins looks like it has a good chance in the 8:00 at 10/3.

Course was nice, was sunny but windy. Ayr itself is a very quiet town. Most people just hopped on the train back to Troon or Prestwick, only two stops away less than ten minutes on the train. Would recommend a visit lots if flights into Glasgow, the race sells out quick enough would want to grab tickets in January.

My apologies I should have realised it was a pretty tough question for you.
Perhaps I should have said, if I have 4 apples in one hand and three apples in .. etc etc ......
