I have this on my cars Sat Nav.
As I approach traffic, the road turns red. Green for ok.

But i'm wondering how the system knows where traffic is?
Where does the info come from?

At times, its down to the meter where the line of traffic is!

    Cheers.

Your car is most likely using google maps and that works by tracking peoples phones on the road to determine what pace the traffic is moving at.
