    Because the 394 charges are not history. They are new charges. He may have zero previous convictions.

    Did you read the article or watch the clip?? He skipped the country prior to being accused, Was picked up in the US and extradited back to Ireland for trial. Bail was rejected and he was remanded in custody.

    Lets not jump to conclusions, seen as he hasn't been convicted just yet. I dislike media reporting on people when they go to court. Should be once the conviction has been handed out and all is settled, because otherwise you can ruin someone's life with false allegations, and the media might make it seem like they have 394 prior sex offences.

    This is legal discussion. Is there a legal point to be made?

    The person involved is charged with c. 400 offences but obviously there has been no trial yet and therefore no convictions.

    I'm not sure there's anything of specific legal interest in this, though it's clearly of general interest. Just that in the latter case, this isn't the forum for the discussion.

    Well, I'm assuming he wishes to talk about the legal proceedings as well as the judiciary issues relating to a case of this magnitude.

    The guy has no criminal record, he went over seas before complaint was made. Garda then need to send to the DPP and wait for decision to roll out extradition proceedings they did now he is home and in custody.
