Its probobly been asked 1000s of time over

    I am looking at buying a used 18 Ranger 2.2 .

If i buy a commercially taxed vehicle can i continue to pay the €333 tax or do i need a vat number ?

I know the rules have changed recently .

The private tax is €750 but would rather save the money obviously .

    Thanks .

You don't need a VAT number, but you do need to have a 'business' !

It’s 951 or 994 on normal tax. If it’s been registered as an N1 then CCO2 rates fon’t Apply. If you are not using it principally for the carriage of goods in the course of a trade then 333 is inapplicable.
