How long does it take for divorce to get to court? My friend was granted legal aid for divorce last Autumn and she was assigned a legal aid solicitor. Divorce papers were served in the February just gone. There's no dependant children. She's been living in the family home which was never mortgaged. The ex husband bought a…

How long does it take for divorce to get to court? My friend was granted legal aid for divorce last Autumn and she was assigned a legal aid solicitor. Divorce papers were served in the February just gone. There's no dependant children. She's been living in the family home which was never mortgaged. The ex husband bought a second home in the 90s where he lives. Her solicitor is talking about a barrister. I presume to help sort out the family home. How much would a barrister cost? Would legal aid cover the barrister costs?
