    Hello All,

I'm currently in the market for something new / near enough to new eg. 2018 onwards less than 18,000km and between €20,000 - €30,000. 26 year old male so budget is pretty firm.

I'm driving a 2010 Citreon DS3 1.6THP at the moment and it's beginning to beak my heart with issues I'm thinking of trading it is as a deposit and entering into some sort of PCP arrangement with a solid warranty.

Current cars I have in mind are:

    - Order a new 2019 Fiesta ST2, with performance pack

    - Import a 2018 5DR VW up! GTI

    - A 2019 Cooper S like my girlfriend has, I've driven hers quite a bit isn't as playful as I expected

    -A 2018 208GTI

    - Renaultsport Clio, can't seem to get these new from the dealer here?

Anything missing from this list that is slipping past me? I've little interest in a Golf GTI or Polo GTI.

I'd also be open to a sporty coupe of some sort, but warranty would be key. Test drove a friend's 335d last week and it was brilliant if a tad underwhelming for the sensation of speed.

Can't get 1.5tsi Evo ones anymore due to new restrictions.

    Op:
You could try find Megane 205hp one. Pretty damn good warm hatch there.
Leon Ibiza Cupra 192hp, I own one and it's great little rocket
New fiesta ST fits the bill too.
Pug 208 GTI can be gotten cheap enough second hand.

If you are willing to go 171ish, then you could get 290-300hp Seat Leon cupra. It's not a warm hatch anymore.

I'd prob say fiesta ST is the best in that class of hot hatches.

You could get a 2017 Leon Cupra 300 just under 30k. Depends on how firm you are on it being 2018, but you may also not want something bigger than Fiesta class.

Megane looks brilliant just had a browse around there, good few low mileage ones for sale. Nice size too.

Ibiza Cupra could fit the bill alright, I doubt I could get insured on a Leon Cupra. Already having issues with only one company quoting for the Fiesta ST.

Megane 205hp one was my option to go to after my Ibiza Cupra. It just perfect golden spot in power and usability. That's ofc if I became more mature, but that's not happening. :pac: The other issue is, that they don't do them new anymore, because of new emissions testing. Your best bet is 2017 or early 2018. Those are really good value.
As for Ibiza Cupra - I bought my one brand new and own it for almost 2 years. Really love it. The only reason why I will change is so I can have 4 doors. Those were fantastic value new and they did sold a good few of them. By the looks of it, a lot of people holding on to them as there is no alternative for that price/spec right now. Very rarely 2016+ pop up on donedeal. Avoid 1.4tsi and go for later 1.8tsi.
Insurance wise I don't have issues getting qoutes. Problem is that I live in Linerick. My premiums go all high just because of that.
