Some scrote threw a rock through the rear quarter driver side window of my Nissan Serena. AutoGlass were all to willing to help until Nissan said that they discontinued the glass. Now Ive sourced the glass from a breaker but AG said they wont fit the glass as they cant stand over it or have no come back if it breaks. Where do i stand now...would any specialist be able to fit it - Im assuming its straight forward

    Appreciate thoughts/advice

    Thanks
    GOMP

You could try Mr. Windscreen or any of the other windscreen replacement outfits.

If all else fails I reckon a body repairs shop or even an independent garage would be able to do it for you. I don't think it would be as big a job as a windscreen replacement due to its size.

Is your Nissan Serena a Jap import?

I dont think I that that glass is bonded in so you as above you dont need a windscreen company help. Any mechanic should be able to replace the glass, it'll either be mechanically fixed or just held in place by the window rubber.

What year is the Serena? Post a pic and we could confirm that.

I'd try a crash repair shop, they would be fairly used to swapping out side glass that isn't bonded on crash repaired cars.

I presume you mean the rearmost window on a 2005 Serena.
This is usually an opening window, held in with two front hinges and a rear Catch (similar to many 3 door cars where the rear side window opens slightly outwards).
Should be an easy enough job for any mechanic/bodyshop as it really only bolts onto the Hardware that holds it in place.

This is a Japanese import Serena I assume? It just bolts in as far as I can see.
