Self Build Requirements?

We have planning drawings done, and have received planning permission for a one off house.

The person who did our planning drawings said he doesn't do builders drawings, so we need to find somebody. We know somebody who might be able to do it for us. I understand that we can opt-out of statutory certification.

The guy who might do our drawings for us has experience in the industry, but not so much with housing. He said he can do the drawings for us, specify materials and ensure designed in compliance with building regs.

Apart from putting in contact details for our builder, and lodging commencement notice 14-28 days before work to start, can you advise what else he, or we, would need to do through BCMS system?
