If I switch my Mastercard account with another bank to BofI, how does the annual stamp duty work?  i.e. Will I pay twice in year 1?

    Hi there BowWow,

Thank you for getting in touch with us here on Boards.

The Government Stamp Duty is charged in arrears, the year runs from April to April. 2018-2019 will be charged this month.

If you are charged the 2019-2020 fee when you close your existing credit card account you will receive proof and we will be able to waive the fee for your BOI credit card.

If we can help with anything else, give us a shout.

    Thanks,

    Lorna
