    Hi Folks

OH is getting an oil warning light on her Mazda CX-5 2014, she's worried about putting wrong oil in - an I don't have a clue - what should she use?

If she went to nearest Halfords would they sort it?

    Cheers

Halfords will have a guide in the oil section listing the oil required for each car. Also have a look at castrol.co.uk and it will show the grade and amount you need.

Don't add loads of oil in one go, add in about 250ml - 500ml amounts at a time and then recheck the level after it has settled.

Look in the owners manual. I would not trust anyone except what it says in the owners manual or at the dealers.

    Is it Diesel or petrol?

She took your advice, had stopped at 2 forecourts but they didn't have what the manual said it used so wouldn't put it in. As said she went to halfords and got sorted.

If its diesel then ACEA C3 0W-30 or 5W-30. See web version https://owners-manual.mazda.com/gen/en/cx-5/cx-5_8ft1ee17b/contents/10020104.html
