hello
i was banned for 3 days by ancapailldorcha
i messaged him and he said he would not appeal his ban
so can i get some to review it here please.
the reason i dont agree with the ban are the behaviour of the mod in both his postings and his private messages.

You have received a number of sanctions in Politics over the past couple of days. Can you confirm which of those you are appealing?

This forum does not deal with complaints against mods, or indeed the content of their PMs that do not directly relate to the mod sanction. Once this appeal is dealt with any wider complaints about moderation can be raised in Help Desk. If you feel any PMs received contravene site rules please report them and one of the Admins will have a look

I'll advise the CMods of this appeal, but while we are waiting for one to post here could you confirm the point I raised about which sanction(s) you are appealing, and be prepared to share PMs relating to the sanction(s) with the relevant CMod

i have sent you the pms
i cant access the thread but if you do you can see my posts and the reactions of that mod and other posters to my posts.
even the one that got me banned was a reply to another poster calling me a liar.

I've looked in to this and as the moderator who banned you mentioned, the ban wasn't for one particular post it was for a number of your posts in Politics. You had received a couple of onthread nudges and warnings to amend your posting style. The charter is there for all to read before posting. In it is included a simple diagram that shows what is acceptable or not in the forum.

I find it difficult to disagree with the banning moderator, and the fact that 2 moderators actioned the same post at the same time shows you that this wasn't an over the top opinion of one moderator. One moderator gave you a red card whilst the other banned you for 3 days. A 3 day ban is relatively short and designed to give the poster time to cool off and reflect on their style of posting and refamiliarise themselves with the local charter.

In this instance I am happy to let the 3 day ban stand.

I am not surprised I would like to appeal this higher and also make a complaint about that mod and also you as a mod. Your decision makes as much sense as the banning mod. My posts were fair and balanced and factual

I was attacked by mods personally and by other posters just because they hate trump.
Being honest your decision is a disgrace
I did not deserve any nudges or warnings or cards. My posts only received this treatment because I supported trump

Basically your condoning my complete banning from that thread because if I return in 3 days I will be banned again because I post for trump

For the record hitler and Mussolini were socialists and that one of the posts I was warned for.
Thus is fact thought in history in schools
How can you just let this mod who banned me away calling this fact nonsense

Seems pretty clear cut to me.



The politics forum has a very clearly defined standard of posting, as outlined above. You weren't banned out of the blue for a single post, there was a pattern of posting worn out tropes with no substance, that a moderator removed in the hope that the thread would stay on track. Rather than take the hint, you kept going over the same old ground, and the moderator gave you a three day ban to cool off. I can see nothing wrong with these actions.

As such, the ban stands. Use the few days to reassess your posting style.
