What is this object on side of N25?

    On the N25 city direction, just after Junction 3 (the Cobh exit), there is a large spherical object about 10-15 metres from the road, by the water line.

    The co-ordinates for this are:
    51.906207, -8.302133

    Anybody know what this is?
