Change test centre

Has anyone been successful in changing test centre recently.

The situation is that I have booked and received a date for one test centre but when i was out on a lesson today, my instructor suggested that I look at moving to a newer one closer to my place of work. I am more familiar with the roads there and for doing lessons it would be a more convenient route.

Do ye think I am better to email or call?

If you have a test date, it should let you change the date and test centre online on the RSA website.
When I rescheduled one a couple of months ago the option to change date and test centre was available so you could give that a shot too. :)

For some reason that centre is not listed as a switch option when I log in online

Test centre location cannot be amended online and can only be done by calling them.
It will count as a test cancellation

It allowed me to amend the test date and the centre online when I picked a date for my test a couple of months ago. It only let me do this after I'd been called for the test and given a date already.
Weird that it's obviously not giving everyone the option to amend the same details. :/

One of my pupils, unknown to them, selected Carlow (didn’t actually select anything, it’s the first in the list) when he booked the test to renew his learner permit. He sat in front of me and tried to amend it. He couldn’t. We called them from my car and he was told it couldn’t be amended online and had to be phoned in. This was on Wednesday morning just gone.
