Planning Permission for a Dog Grooming business

    Hi,

    I am looking to convert a shed into a dog grooming business salon at the back of the house.The house is a detached but in an estate in Co.Meath.When I ask Co.Meath planning permission office if I can get permission for the grooming salon they told me that Co.Meath does not encourage this type of business as the house is located in an estate and if I do put in an application i am basically wasting my time and money.
    I know there are plenty of homebase dog grooming salons in Ireland and Co.Meath is not exception, maybe someone who went through this process can give me some advice.

    First Question - Do these other Dog Grooming operations have Planning Permission? If you know them, then you know the address so you can check online.

    I've seen many through the Enforcement process from complaints from neighbors so I wouldn't advise you invest too much money unless you can get planning secured first.
