Disability Allowance review

    Hi everyone,

Just wondering has anyone else ever been asked to go down to their local Social Welfare office for a meeting involving Disability Allowance review? I have a permanent disability so have been on the allowance scheme for years while working at different jobs at reduced weekly rates etc - and I've never been asked for a face-to-face review before - always asked to sent details via post but even this hasn't happened in quite some time - so I am a bit anxious, naturally. I really, really depend on the allowance as I'm freelancing (since several months ago) with no real steady income yet as yet - very early days. The only real regular income I have is the reduced DA. But it's 2019, perhaps this is the normal system now? A face-to-face? I was told it should only take 15-20 minutes tops but I'm still quite anxious!

    Thanks.

I would not worry because you are self employed , a Social Welfare Officer has to access your earnings to access your weekly income.
