Nothing strange or unusual with that. But in the BBC article it states because of the woman cutural back ground the only man allowed to touch her is her own husband. This is a new one to me. Are there other unusual cutural normal s I have missed out on in the travelling community ?

Is that your take away? There's plenty of Traveller bashing threads already.
The way a pregnant Irish Traveller was arrested was shameful and inappropriate, a race charity has said.

Minnie Moloney, 25, who has severe mental health issues, was visited by several male police officers on 7 December 2017 after a row at a shop six weeks earlier.

During the arrest, Ms Moloney became hysterical and was handcuffed wearing nothing but an untied dressing gown.

"It's no different because I'm an Irish Traveller. I'm still the same as everybody else. I still bleed the same. I still feel the same. We're all human."

Still the same as everyone else yet demands special treatment due to her cultural difference.
    Emmmm........

Jesus of all the stories about travellers, you rushed to make one about this when it looks like the police were in the wrong.

Could there not be one traveller thread?

    Bordering on an obsession.

Mod: Sometimes I swear people think After Hours is the travelling community discussion forum. It's not. Stop trying to start a thread every time a traveller sneezes.
