Uri Geller tells Theresa May he will stop Brexit telepathically

Illusionist Uri Geller has told Theresa May he will “not allow” her to lead Britain out of the European Union.

In an open letter to the British prime minister, the Israeli-British TV personality said he felt “psychically and very strongly” that most Britons were anti-Brexit and vowed to stop the process “telepathically”.

He wrote: “I feel psychically and very strongly that most British people do not want Brexit.

“I love you very much but I will not allow you to lead Britain into Brexit.

“As much as I admire you, I will stop you telepathically from doing this — and believe me I am capable of executing it.

“Before I take this drastic course of action, I appeal to you to stop the process immediately while you still have a chance.”

I think it just might work, seems every bit as crazy as the daily goings on in the House Of Commons.

Theresa May can hire some 'psychic bodyguards' to defend her from this.

Here is a documentary I saw on this,

Yes, but not the type of out. It was a moronic decision that didn't define what out meant. If only there had been a grown up that could have advised them. They wouldn't be living through the complete cluster fcuk they are now experiencing.

Hasn’t Geller been exposed as a fraud on a few occasions at this stage?

Brexit will happen. No deal probably won’t but who knows?

Won't happen. DUP won't support May's deal and it's the only one on the table. Others won't support it either and didn't they vote to take a no deal off the table, so that leaves only one out come, revoke article 50 and let the people vote on the available deal or remain.

I think the above analysis is about right.

But even if there is a brexit, it'll only be a relatively short few years before an in government Labour party pushes for re-entry. And the price and ultimate legacy of the 51.9% leave vote will be the UK losing sterling.

May is clearly taking it personal and is willing to defy the EU and the remainers and leave without a deal just to win the argument, but doesn't seem to care about the cost to the people, to the country. It's very petty what she is doing.

Revoking article 50 is a fairly huge leap there.

They took no deal of the table but that’s just as a definitive action (sending May back to say they don’t want a deal). The British can’t vote for a no deal to never happen, it’s the default.

Frequently. The depressing thing is that he even _had_ to be "exposed" for doing a magic trick many of us learnt as kids of the back of a cereal box!

But even the simplest magic tricks wow the ignorant alas. There is a user of boards who is still mightily impressed by the "actual" magic powers of a guy who can set news paper on fire with his mind. Also a trick I can and do often.

That an "exposure" was required at all is one of those little things that makes me despair for humanity.

Yeah it is amazing the lengths some people go to try and make money. But some people seem to have that extra factor - charisma or just dumb luck - that gets them there off the back of one minor party trick.

Whether it is Geller and his spoons - or Deepak Chopra and his over use of the word "Quantum" - they suddenly see millions roll into the bank's door for pretty much nothing at all.

I mean we can scream fraud and charlatan and cheat at them all we like - fact is they got _something_ going for them. What it is - I will leave to better people than I to work out.

A shame that real close up magic - not a spoon bending trick many 8 year olds can do - can take extreme levels of ingenuity, inventiveness, practice and skill - and the people doing it are often playing open mic nights for no pay.

I dedicate a small but significant % of my life to close up magic - coin magic and cards and sleight of hand mostly - and a rake load of NLP and mentalism type trickery - most of which would likely blow Geller away. Yet he makes millions bending a spoon. While the best I can do is 9 times out of 10 "mind control" a cashier to give me the change of a 50 when I actually gave him a 10. Impressive in itself - but not going to buy my diamond encrusted glasses like Chopra has :)

    I despair for our species.

When I was just a lad, many decades ago I ended up reading one of Uri Gellers books where he claimed a group of aliens called "The 9" sent him messages by recording them on a cassette recorder.
He claimed to have been abducted by aliens at one stage as a child.

For a chancer, he certainly made a lot of money.
Thought I saw a pic of him and his large house in England a few years ago on TV.

Make a few faces and pretend to alter May's mind?

It's not crazy, it what grifters do.

That said May is so painted into a clusterfook that she may indeed blame him.

He was on Sean Moncrieff's show this afternoon. He still sounds totally bonkers.
