How long to sort out land reg transfers

Person A had a house and adjoining land which were on separate folios.
A died and left both properties to person B.
B died and left both properties to C.
    C sold the land.
Then C decided to gift the house to another person.
At this stage it was discovered that ownership of the house had never been transferred to B and neither had it been transferred to C. The folio still has A as the owner.

How long should it take to get this sorted out ? i.e. for C to be the owner ?

    Thanks.

Depends. Since the land seemingly was transferred from A's estate to B, and then from B's estate to C, there must have been grants of probate/administration issued in respect of both A's estate and B's estate. If the executors/administrators of both estates are still alive, still competent and co-operative, it may be possible to get this done quite quickly. If not, then may take longer.

Big and obvious question is why the house wasn't transferred? If it was an oversight, that's one thing; if there was a problem on the title or a dispute over the house that's a whole other thing.

    Thanks for the response.
Yes, probate was granted in respect of both estates.
There was no problem with the house, it seems it not being transferred was due to an oversight by someone.
