Hi. Thinking of sticking the motor up for sale, hard to pick an asking price as theres hardly any about for sale here.
    Details:
    142D BMW M235i
    40k km
Black, red leather, upgraded widescreen sat nav
    Heated seats
    Few other extras
    Full BMW service history
    Excellent condition...

Any ideas on what I should be asking for?

    Cheers!

Maybe have a look at what it would take for someone to clear one here from the UK? Might be worth hanging on to it for a bit as that avenue might close or be less attractive with Brexit.

That seems to be the method dealers are using to value their trade-ins. Only to then price their cars in the stratosphere.

Can be hard enough to sell a car like that privately. I'd imagine anyone in the market for a M car that new and of substantial value will want the comfort of a dealer warranty as these cars can be pretty expensive to fix if something goes wrong. On the flip side it's rarity on these shores might work in your favor and might not put off a buyer at the right price.

Have you looked at selling it in the UK? You might have a bigger market there and you could get a partial VRT refund here once it's sold.

Revenue reckons the OMSP is around €25k. UK cheap ones around £17-18k plus €7,494 VRT so i’d Say the Revenue price is a little on the low side unless it’s generally worth less than the cost of one imported from the AuK. Revenue price is supposed to be based on dealer prices. Some car for €25k.

D plate makes it worth €3.50 more.

€27,950 is what I'd consider fair.

A 152 with 30k kms has just gone up for sale on another forum for €33k, so I'd say you're not far off with that figure.

It's not an actual M car bazz, so not as expensive to fix as you think.

Realistically I'd say you would do very well to get a private seller to give you 25k for it.

What would a dealer give you as a trade in price?
