Man dies in freak ferry trauma at Rosslare

    A man in his ‘twenties’ has died in a freak accident during the loading process on board the Irish Ferries ship ‘Isle of Inishmore’ while docked at Rosslare Europort this morning.
    The man, believed to be from Latvia, and an employee of Irish Ferries ground staff based at Rosslare Europort, was crushed between two trucks.
    Emergency services rushed to the scene after the incident was witnessed around 7.30 am.
    Investigation into the circumstances that caused the trauma has already begun.

    I wondered what was up, they sent 3 ambulances and 3 fire engines to the scene - maybe they thought it was a more complex incident.

    Awful thing to happen, and so preventable.
