Hello, looking at upgrading the car. Has anyone any recommendations for independent dealers? Preferably in the south of the country but will travel

Unless you're buying a brand new car, go by the car, not by the dealer, as Irish dealers tend not to have a large amount of cars on the forecourt.

Keep an eye on the likes of carzone or donedeal for ones you're interested in, and do a quick Google search on the dealer selling it before you make the trip.

Best strategy is to figure out what car you want, then go from there. Going for a specific dealer and getting the nearest thing they have to what you want isn’t as good.
That said if you don’t know what you want or are flexible then it might work.

Don't have a certain car in mind, something 2012 to 2014 and a long the lines of a Passst CC,A5,A6 maybe a Mazda 6 but the pre 2012 ones have a bad rep. Are the 2013 onwards any better?

I'm off work for a few days so will be going for a browse around
