I hope I'M posting this question in the correct place.
I have private health insurance and am wondering if you go to see a consultant privately and he sends you for a number of different blood tests, how much does this cost? Is it part of the consultants fee or is it more money?
    thanks

Contact your health insurance provider and ask them. It's the only way you'll find out for sure. There are so many different policies with varying levels of cover. If your GP is referring you to the consultant the cost might/might not be covered, along with tests, scans etc.

It really does da on your policy. Generally you pay upfront and claim a portion back from your insurance but it varies depending on the procedure and your policy
