    Hi,
I'm looking for some advice on which Hatchback car to buy.
I have been looking for some time but I can't make up my mind. I have a list of the usual suspects but don't know which one is best for me...they are all too similar!

The ones I'm looking at are all diesels, from 2016.

Is there anything I should be aware of from the list below about these cars? I hope to have this car for a good few years so I want something reliable and fairly economical.

If you had to choose one, which would you go for?

At the moment my list is: (price is in sterling)

    Astra Sri/Tech Line ~ 9-9,500
    Leon SE Tech ~ 10,000
    Focus Zetec/Titanium ~ 11,000
    Auris Business Ed./Icon ~ 11,000
    Civic D-Tec SE / Sport ~ 11 - 11,500
    Golf Match ~ 12,000

If it were me I would buy the Focus as it would be by far the best to drive and most stylish of the list you provide. If fuel economy is your priority then the Auris would be the best choice. Don’t rule out the possibility of a petrol engined model which could be worth more if you decide to trade up in a few years time.

Peugeot 308 is a really nice car with a very nice dash design or the Skoda Octavia is another option.
