Hi. I’m trying to find out what the out of warranty repair for a battery?

The iPhone had its screen replaced by a 3rd party. Will Apple still replace the battery?

CompuB are quoting €169. Seems more than what Apple would charge if I sent it to them.

Is there an Apple email or free phone number?

    Thanks.

Buy yourself a tool kit on eBay and do it yourself . It is a very simple job and you can just follow a YouTube video .

Also I used to repair phones myself and know that places like the one you mentioned just buy third party batteries on eBay and use those when replacing batteries

I know what your saying. CompuB would be an authorised reseller so they would have Apple batteries.

I’m done with 3rd party anything to do with iPhones though. I’ve used 3rd party batteries. 3rd party screens. They aren’t up to Apple quality.

You can get it done by an apple authorised repir ship for 49 euros

    https://support.apple.com/en-ie/iphone/repair/service/battery-power

You can bring it to your nearest authorised repair store or else you can send it to apple and they do it .

Be careful if sending to Apple with a 3rd party screen they have a list of exclusions for battery replacements, and when I tried to get them to replace my iPhone 6 battery a few months ago they sent me a new phone instead and charged me for it (without asking my permission first!).

Have a look at this yourself.its all very well saying its easy, you can do it yourself but there's huge potential to do permanent damage especially to someone that's never done something like this.
Also getting it out may go well but getting the new one in and phone sealed properly is no easy task either.
