tilt and trim issue.

    the tilt and trim switch on the remote control only works in one direction only. the switch buttons on the engine are working ok. any ideas what could be wrong before i start stripping ? cheers.

    First guess would be a loose broken connection between the trim switch and the engine.

    If you can identify the pins at the engine connector end, use a multimeter to diagnose.

    I had a similar problem when the little, very light Microswitch on my remote gave up. I just re- routed the wires and fitted a two position
    ( momentary) on / off switch on the dash. Heavier duty and more durable.
