What Tiguan DSG R-Line spec to buy?

Hope someone who knows the VW options/ packs can offer an opinion as I'm goggly eyed looking at all the different packs and options.

Planning to buy a 7 seater Tiguan Allspace 150bhp DSG with the R-line looks for my wife on 0% PCP with a 2016 Hyundai Tucson to trade. Priorities are:

    1. Reversing camera - must have this.
    2. Heated seats - must have these.
    3. Leather seats - would be nice but leather middle bits would be fine and no leather would be probably ok, 2 small kids so would need to get seat covers then.
    4. 18 or 19 or probably even 17 inch alloys probably fine but I've only seen the 19 inch ones on the car in the showroom.
    5. Best colour for resale? Nice blue R-line with grey leather seats available in Frank Hogans in Limerick now, don't know if this will be hard to resell/ trade in?
    6. The large infotainment dash would be nice to have but its not a deal breaker.
    7. Not so pushed about the sound system.
    8. I'd like a panoramic sunroof.

Anyone suggest what packs/ add on's I should go for that make sense?

    Thanks!

The Tech Pack @ €1,199 is a no brainer and anything coming in for stock will have it fitted. Without it, you're looking at 12-16 weeks for a factory order.

    Technology Pack includes:
Panoramic Sunroof (usually €1,614 by itself)
Easy Open Package (Keyless entry and riverdance boot opening)
Lane Change Assist with side and rear traffic alert
    Dynamic Road Sign Display

19" Sebring Alloys are standard on the R-Line as is the 8" Touchscreen Navigation. Winter Pack is also standard so there's your heated seats (and heated washer nozzles)

Just leaves leather - cheapest option is the vienna leather pack @ €1,669 but that will probably make it a factory order. Leather can be retro fitted for around the same cost and will be just as good as the factory leather.

Colour choice in the R-Line is very limited now it's a model by itself - 2 different shades of Grey, Black, and white in metallic or non-metallic.

It used to be a Highline with an R-Line Pack but now the R-Line is a seperate trim level, but it's a Highline with an R-Line Pack...

I'd go Indium Grey, Tungsten Silver or Black - any of those would be good for resale.

Tungsten silver is a lovely colour imo

My dad has a 18 R Line in Iridium Grey (I think that's the name). It has leather heated seats, large centre console, reversing camera (I think it can park itself as well) and a digital dashboard and panoramic sunroof.

I'll get a picture of it for you tomorrow.

The boot isn't the biggest though. He can't get a set of golf clubs and an electric trolley into it at the same time but his isn't the All Space.

Same here, my Dad has one, albeit not an R Line, its a Highline DSG, also in Indium grey. They're a very fine, well equipped car imo and Indium is certainly one of the nicest shades. The R-Line kit makes a great job of it but my Dad didn't see the value in it and went for leather instead. The leather in his looks very smart, its 2-tone, cream and black. Really lifts the quality feeling.

I really wouldn't go with black personally... doesn't do anything for it, the greys or the lighter colours look much better imo. If you're feeling braver, white looks fantastic on the R-Line too.

I think the R Line with the added "Tech pack" will tick most of your boxes. Leather adds another 1600 odd.

Discover... The Pro is a wedge more cash... but the non-pro has a larger (8") screen these days.

Went for a grey R-line 7 seater with the tech pack and black lesther seats in the end. Last day to get zero% pcp today so it was time to make a decision between this and a black 7 seater kodiaq with beige leather. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

The silver color wont go on production until week 33. We also get the last 0% PCP and pick the platinum grey with tech pack as well but not leather seat as this will take another while to arrive as it would be a factory order, how about your one? Is it a factory order and how long will you need to wait for? If not maybe I could ask my dealer to see if this can be added on.

Picked up a silver r line for my wife today, went for the auto petrol one. Its only a 1.5tsi but more nippy than I expected. Lovely car I think, all the best with it.

Hi digiman, when did you order the silver one, do they also come with petrol engine with the 7 seaters? I though is only diesel as I can only find diesel ones on the brochure.

I ordered it 3 weeks ago but it was one that was enroute anyway. They do the petrol in the 7 seater as well but it's also the 1.5tsi as well. I don't find it too lacking to be honest and is sufficient for my wife's driving. I would think that vw will starting making the 2.0tsi for the Irish Market soon as they are available in the UK now.
