Hi Guys , My son wants to change his 1st name , we got the deed poll paper , printed the documents on it and went to high court day visit , they told us it was not filled in properly so we redone it , sent it up and again they were not happy , is there any company in dublin that will print the forms correctly and go through what and where to sign , if so where is said place and roughly how much does it cost( i know the stamp duty is 60 euro or so ) any help or advice will be very appreciated , TIA

    Welcome to the Central office.

The reality is there are no rules to a change of name by Deed Poll. No law. Nothing.

The Central Office make up their own rules on it and you will always be wrong.

It gives zero legal effect. If you want to change his name just change it. You dont need the hassle or the €60 fee.

scotland has an excellent system. By declaration. as a solicitor told me, "If you want to be called Mickey Mouse all you do is say, 'I want to be called Mickey Mouse' and Mickey Mouse you will be thereafter."
even DSS have to accept is and it the passport office
