Van just broken into in the carpark in supermarket. Broad daylight!! Husband went after them and threatened with a crowbar. Got reg and details so waiting for guards now.

Need to get an alarm and some more security. Maybe that will send a message to my phone or landline?
Any suggestions as to where to go and what to buy.

Would like camera that comes on once the van is touched. Based in North County Dublin.
    Thanks in advance.

Will give them a call now.

It was only a month or so ago his spare wheel was removed from under the van in another carpark down the country.
No sign of the guards yet. The guard station is right near the supermarket. Car reg given to 999 so they know who they are otherwise they would have called to the van by now.

Secondary locks would be more of a deterrent than an alarm.

Think we will be doing both alarm and locks. Thanks.

Autokey in Swords or Newlands Cross can do both alarms and slam locks.

If considering slam locks just make sure not to leave the keys in the van then shut the door. It happens fairly frequently and is a total pain in the proverbial.

Not great looking but better than any alarm

They do stand out alright, but that’s a good thing if you want scrotes to keep away.
It’s generally acceptable to have these on vans now.

If they stand out it might stop them from trying to breakin.

Looks like these guys are on a roll and driving around robbing from a number and of vans. Same car fake plates and same number of men.
They have done the same thing last week in Donabate and took tools from one van and left the van with secondary locks alone.

    Thanks for your help.
