How does your condition prevent you from any kind of training or employment?

Hi I was denied disability allowance, and I sent of my appeal yesterday Friday the 8th March, how long untill I hear something back?
The grounds for refusal was that because of my age I could return to work or training, but yet I have been out 8 months so far ive spondylolysis and sever tissue damage to my thumb that I can't use anymore, my damaged thumb is on my dominant hand and I can't use it anymore due to swelling and pain, and I cannot do anything with the damage to my back I've gotten epidurals and my physio is long term is that not good enough?

ive a friend who sent in hes appeal in august and 30 weeks on still has not received a decision.

he has indeed,he phoned them last week and was told its not looked at yet.he told them he knew a person who sent in there appeal in october and got a decision in january, the man told him every case is different.but i think its ridiculous as the say the average waiting time is 18 to 21 weeks yet my friend is almost 31 weeks now.

I can't put on my own socks in the morning as the pain that I am in since my accident,
There is a chip gone from my lower lumbar spine, numbness in my right lower leg, anything over 30 mins of walking and pain is there in my back and legs.
As mentioned my dominant hand has no use to me as for now.

Have you told them all this in your appeal though? Unless you tell them how restricted you are they won’t know. You’ll have to write them a letter. Write the letter to the Appeals office and don’t forget to put your PPSN on it.

I have done, also my doctor has sent a letter too, would that be enough for that?
