2 Satellite, 1 House?

    Hi,

Neighbours of ours have a satellite dish on the roof their house. Today they have erected a second satellite which is attached to the back wall of the house (adjoined wall to our house).

I was under the impression that the regulations only allowed one satellite per house without planning. Does anyone know if they are likely to be in breech of regulations here, considering a second was installed with no planning. It's also horrendous as it's clearly visible right above the back wall of our house.

    Thanks.

One dish to the side or rear, under 1m is the exempted development rules for dishes.

Councils will occasionally enforce this, down to telling people to remove front or chimney mounted dishes. A chimney mounted dish can be less ugly than a cranked mount to see over a roof from the back, however that is what's legal.
